Bradley J. Foy,

CFP® President, BBF Wealth Manager, RJFS

Brad began his career at Bassett, Brosius, Foy & Assoc. (formerly Bassett, Dawson & Foy Inc. & Bassett, Brosius & Dawson Inc.) in 1997 on a part-time basis as “the file boy” while an undergraduate at the University of Delaware. During this time and in the midst of the late 90’s tech bubble, Brad grew a greater appreciation for the stock market and investing. As a result, he added a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics to go along with his Batchelor or Arts degree in Criminal Justice. He joined the practice full time in June of 1999.

While building his own practice, Brad took over the practice of original founder Art Brosius in 2006 after having worked closely with Art for seven years. Brad also worked closely with original founder Joe Bassett and assumed management of Joe’s practice following his retirement September 2020. He was promoted to Vice President in 2007 and Executive Vice President in 2020 before becoming President in 2023. Today Brad helps his clients manage over $340 million of invested assets.

Brad’s practice has a goals-based objective, whereby financial plans are created and put in place to help achieve their financial goals. He and his team then manage their money over time and through market fluctuations to help clients achieve these goals. BBF Wealth and Associates believe portfolio management is the management of risks and not returns. Therefore, they only take on as much risk as is necessary to help achieve their client’s goals.

While focusing mainly on financial planning and asset allocation, Brad also employs tactical allocation with his clients that is designed to take advantage of current market trends and utilizing his 25+ years of studying the markets.

Brad is general (series 7) securities licensed and has obtained his fixed and variable annuity, disability, long term care, and life insurance licenses. He is a Registered Representative of Raymond James Financial Services, ICD Division.

Brad is a *CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) and, as such, he follows a fiduciary standard of care on advisory accounts, which puts client interests at the forefront above his own. The CFP designation is considered the premier designation within financial planning. He has also earned the designation of Institutional Investment Management Consultant (IMC) which provides advisors with advanced knowledge and concepts commensurate with many high-level institutional money management consultants.

Recently [2024], Brad completed the prestigious Private Wealth Advisor course offered to select advisors in Raymond James who work with Ultra High Net Worth Individuals. The 6-month program further enhanced his expertise in comprehensive Wealth Management. This advanced training has deepened his understanding of sophisticated Investment Management Solutions, including private market investments; Estate and Charitable Planning strategies, incorporating trust services and philanthropic giving; Lending and Cash Management techniques for high-net-worth clients; Intergenerational Wealth Strategies, from longevity planning to family governance; and Risk Mitigation and Management, featuring customized risk assessments and specialized insurance solutions. This additional knowledge allows Brad to provide an even higher level of personalized service and strategic guidance to clients with complex financial needs, ensuring a holistic approach to wealth preservation and growth across generations.

Brad was an adjunct Professor at his alma matter, University of Delaware, from the Spring of 2019 through the Spring of 2022. At UD he taught the Retirement Planning & Employer Benefits course to undergraduates in the Financial Planning and Wealth Management program. He taught over 150 future hopeful financial advisors over the course of these 4 years before stepping down to return focus to his practice.

Brad has been selected by Forbes Magazine as a Best-in-State financial advisor for the state of Delaware in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Additionally, our team was also selected as a Best-in-State team for 2023 and 2024.

Brad has been a contributing member to the Federal Reserve Board of Atlanta’s economic surveys since 2014. Information provided by these surveys is used to help the Federal Governor of Atlanta with directing U.S. economic policy.

Brad had been a member of the Raymond James’ Executive Council every year from 2007-2020. Brad has qualified for Leader’s Council from 2021-2024. Leader’s council is the 2nd highest Council acknowledgement within Raymond James based on prior fiscal year production assessed annually.

Brad is an active member of the following organizations: The Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP), the Financial Planning Association (FPA), The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), and The Wilmington Tax Group. About Forbes ranking of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors 2024
The 2024 Forbes ranking of America’s Top Wealth Management Teams Best-In-State, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. This ranking is based upon the period from 3/31/2022 to 3/31/2023 and was released on 01/09/2024. Advisor teams that are considered must have one advisor with a minimum of seven years of experience, have been in existence as a team for at least one year, have at least 5 team members, and have been nominated by their firm. The algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Out of approximately 10,100 team nominations, 4,100 advisor teams received the award based on thresholds. This ranking is not indicative of an advisor's future performance, is not an endorsement, and may not be representative of individual clients' experience.
